The valedictory programme of 15 days Journalism course, jointly organized by Sandesha Foundation, Canara Communication Centre and Daijiworld Media was held on 3rd August at Sandesha hall.

Most Rev Dr Henry D Souza, Bishop of Bellary and founder of Sandesha and the Mayor of Mangalore Shree Baskar Moily honoured the participants by the certificates.

Addressing to the gathering Bishop said, "A journalist must imbibe the qualities of tolerance, cooperation, and collaboration, which are very important in today’s society." He urged everyone who chooses journalism as their profession and always stand for truth. "Good writing skill can be mastered by reviewing one's writing, correcting mistakes, and making sure that it is honest and truthful. Being trustworthy is a very important quality that plays a stellar role in the profession. Fidelity is the essence of your profession."

City mayor, Bhaskar Moily, in his chief guest address said, "A Journalists should not be biased. They should give importance to truth and transparency. If a reporter strictly follows media ethics, automatically he becomes the voice of society."

Zabin presented the memories of this 15 days course with the help of a video documentary.

Rev Fr Nelson D'Almeida, Sandesha director welcomed the dignitaries. Canara communication centre director Fr Richard D’souza proposed vote of thanks. Vinay Kumar compered the programme.

Mr Walter Nandalike Daijiworld founder , Roy Castelino the trustee of Sandesha were present on this occasion.
